Positive feedback from 2nd ITMA Asia + CITME |
|
Second ITMA Asia + CITME (22. 26.6.2010) the
textile machinery exhibition in Shanghai (PRC) is already history with
1171 exhibitors from 28 countries presenting their newest products and
technologies on around 100000 m2 surface. Chinas presence amounted
to 639 exhibitors on 31000 m2 space, then Taiwan with 57 exhibitors
and 3500 m2 and Japan (partnership country of ITMA) with 3300 m2. European
manufacturers also occupied a major surface, amongst them Germany occupied
5000 m2, Italy over 400 m2 (115 exhibitors; Italys China business
expanded in 2010 by 165%) and Switzerland with 2500 m2 space. Dyeing,
finishing and printing represented the most space with totally 17000
m2, followed by knitting with 10300 m2 and weaving with 9300 m2.
The first feedbacks by exhibitors are positive. Swiss Rieter Textile Systems for example was present with a booth of 300 m2 and over 50 experts. The new ring spinning frame G 32 and especially developed for Asiatic markets has been in the foreground of interest. Even high ranking officials and politicians for example Chinese Minister Du commended Rieter for its innovation, quality and technological efforts. Rieter underlines that the interest in Rieter product lines and systems has been high. Many customers discussed new projects and several signed buying contracts. For Rieter the exhibition was a great success. The Italian textile machinery producers put sustainability in their offer and made it evident with a green tag. It is the result of the European Project Nu-Wave under the guidance of Italian DAppolonia, RTD specialist and coordinator of the project, now launched in its first stage. ACIMIT the Italian umbrella organisation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers is planning to revisit Chinas textile provinces and cities with a large members delegation in October 2010 in order to get even more familiarised with the needs of the local textile industry. |
